Customer Experience Officer
During my NYSC service year, I worked as a Human Resources
Intern and later as a Customer Service Intern at Konga Online
Nigeria Limited, where I gained hands-on experience in HR
management and customer relations within a dynamic and
fast-paced environment.
As a Human Resources Intern, I actively supported various HR functions, including recruitment and selection, where I assisted in interview scheduling and talent acquisition. I played a key role in employee onboarding by facilitating orientation sessions and ensuring a smooth transition for new hires. Additionally, I was responsible for maintaining and updating employee records in the HR database with accuracy, which required a high level of attention to detail. Through this experience, I gained in- depth knowledge of HR processes, labor laws, and corporate policies. I developed strong communication and interpersonal skills through cross-team collaboration and refined my ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR operations.
In my role as a Customer Service Intern, I contributed to enhancing the customer experience by handling inquiries, managing orders, and resolving complaints. I addressed customer concerns via phone, ensuring that their needs were met promptly and satisfactorily. I assisted in tracking orders and ensuring timely deliveries, while also playing a vital role in resolving customer complaints by providing effective solutions and documenting issues for future process improvements. Additionally, I recorded customer feedback to enhance service delivery. This role helped me strengthen my problem- solving skills, improve my communication abilities through diverse customer interactions, and develop strong time management and multitasking skills while handling multiple inquiries simultaneously. I adopted a customer-centric approach in resolving complaints and gained valuable experience in team collaboration for effective issue resolution.
My dual internship experience provided me with a solid foundation in HR and Customer Service, equipping me with essential skills to excel in any business environment. These roles enhanced my technical expertise, soft skills, and overall professional growth, positioning me for future success.
