Working with Konga has been an amazing journey and a wonderful
experience. Coming into the system for my Primary Assignment
as a Youth Corps member with little or no experience, I was
assigned the role of a Human Resources Intern where I was
entrusted with opportunities and responsibilities which helped
me accelerate my growth.
The work culture at Konga is nurturing. This is evident in the provision made by the company for an online learning platform, Udemy. This platform has helped me advance my career and skills. Konga’s concern towards employee growth has helped me navigate and transition smoothly to a newer and desired career path. Upon completion of my NYSC, I was offered a full-time role as an Online Merchandiser. I am so pleased and excited with the development I see in myself, all thanks to the opportunities created by Konga.
The communication channels at Konga are open and frank and the effect of this is visible in the increased productivity of employees. The entire team including team leads are always ready to help. During my internship in the Human Resources department, despite being a fresher, I was given a lot of challenging new opportunities which ranged from contributing towards improving the documentation and filing systems, to the staff management system. These opportunities helped me not only improve technical capabilities, but also soft skills like interaction within the team, being assertive and persistent while knowing where to make the trade-offs, identifying red flags in the development cycle, putting my point forward and making others understand my thought process and learning to accomodate differing points of view.
Reflecting on the past months, I now have a clearer understanding of my career goals and what I want to achieve as I continue to grow professionally.
